You're next, Los Angeles
What you missed while Whitlock stayed as predictable as ever.
- The Phillies completed baseball’s Final Four last night by seeing off the pesky Rockies, rallying against Colorado’s normally reliable closer, Huston Street. The final was 5-4, and Brad Lidge picked up his second consecutive save.
- The Dolphins ended up winning a back and forth affair against the suddenly mortal Mark Sanchez and his Jets, 31-27. There were five TD’s in the fourth quarter alone, and all changed the lead in the game. Catch the replay on NFL network if you can. Quite a game.
- NHL winners from last night were Colorado, Los Angeles, the Rangers, New Jersey, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, Edmonton, Chicago (in an incredible comeback against Calgary), and Phoenix.
- NBA preseason continued (I know you forgot, but unless you read Skeets, you’d barely know) and winners included Cleveland, Atlanta, Orlando, Okie City, Milwaukee, and the Clippers.
- Despite everything being supposedly rosey in Gator-land, Tim Tebow is still undergoing post-concussion testing. Shanoff is on high alert.
- In addition to Wayne Rooney being out, word comes out today that midfielder Steven Gerrard will also miss tomorrow’s England v. Belarus World Cup Qualifier.
- It appears that rising heavyweight star Junior Dos Santos will fight Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC 108 to see who will be next in line for champ Brock Lesnar.
- Felipe Massa took his first step towards getting back to F1 with a test today.
- Junior says he’d “welcome” Danica Patrick if she joined NASCAR.
- Former Phoenix Suns point guard and now Mayor of Sacramento Kevin Johnson was robbed while in San Francisco. He left his wallet there, but not his heart.
Right. That’s it, then. No idea what’s on the docket for today here, but Last Call should be at Weed’s place tonight, and so on and so forth.

So who’s more important, the Rangers or the Jets? I’m curious as to what your sports team totem pole is…
F'(x)
Due to the 16 game schedule, jets losses hurt more. However – my sports totem pole is Rangers, Jets, Mets.
Pam
I see. So you take into account the magnitude of the loss. That makes sense.

If MLB wasn’t in the middle of the worst umpiring slump ever, the Rockies-Phillies series would be different. At least one bad blown call on what should have been an out at third for the Rockies. They still should have held a 4-2 lead with 2 outs in the ninth, but they got hosed in this series.
Ridiculous that 162 games of season all for a 5 game series that gets fooled around with by bad officiating.
I know replay is distasteful and slow, but it’s better than being wrong. Or not, and let your sport bury itself in as America’s third favorite.

Big Nog will probably fight Lesnar/Carwin first unless dos Santos puts on a clinic, and by fight I mean get brutally assaulted in the hopes of pulling out a miracle submission. Dos Santos/Lesnar should be an awesome fight if it happens.
