Ok, so I was working on a paper and drove like a maniac to school to hand it on time. I get here and we’re filling out a fucking course evaluation. So tonight’s big story is obviously Yanks/Phils. So let me join in the chorus in asking why did Girardi pitch Burnett on 3 days rest. Obviously he could have rolled with Chad, and had full rest A.J. tonight. Instead, the old Petite is going without competent rest. I think this series is going 7 games. Your thoughts?

    Baseball prospectus had a great point. It wasn’t the fact that Burnett was going on short rest. It was the fact that AJ Burnett is the pitching equivilent of Sybil.

    Full rest Burnett might still have been lit up, ditto Chad. Suddenly you’re at a game 7 without using pettite a second time.
