Eye Opener – 10 November 2009
Lads, there’s hope for us yet.
Let’s get to it, shall we? Yes.
You might have heard, you might not have.
- The NBA’s all-time leading scorer, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, has announced that he has myeloid leukemia. No joking around here, good luck, big fella.
- The Steelers used a big second half performance to smash the suddenly-reeling Broncos, 28-10. The Neckbeard quite possibly could be who we thought he was, as 3 interceptions proved costly, including 2 in the fourth quarter.
- Only one NHL game last night, and it saw the Chicago Blackhawks defeating the Los Angeles Kings 4-1. If it wasn’t for NHL Network, I’d barely know this league was occurring, honestly.
- Five NBA contests were staged, and your winners were the Suns, Jazz, Spurs, Warriors and Hornets. If you had the T-wolves plus 40 last night, sorry. Golden State were apparently not in a holiday mood.
- The defending NCAA champion North Carolina Tar Heels welcomed Isiah Thomas back into college hoops with an 88-72 win over Zeke’s Florida International side. The Florida International Golden Panthers. Sounds made up.
- The World Series of Poker’s Main Event ended this morning, and the winner was….not going to be spoiled by me. If you must know, click HERE. You’ve been warned.
- Marat Safin claims Andre Agassi should forfeit all of his titles for being a filthy drug addict. Agassi thinks Safin should shut the fuck up.
- LeGarrette Blount was reinstated to the Oregon Ducks football program after an 8 week absence. Are there any Arizona State players stupid enough to taunt him after the game on Saturday night? Let’s watch!
- Despite dropping more points at home yesterday, Liverpool’s manager Rafa Benitez claims the Reds can still win the title. Well, theoretically they could. Rafa was talking about his FIFA ‘10 game. See, context!
- A brawl in a high-school girls soccer game? Sure, why not.
It’s a short one today, sorry. Much to do this morning. You fine people have a fantastic day, remember the Veterans tomorrow at 11:11 AM, and I’ll see you soon. Cheers.
