What you missed with sounds of Dicky V lulling you softly to sleep

What We Learned Last Night

  • Gonzaga narrowly misses an upset bid against #2 Michigan State. Good to watch, bad for my bankroll *grumble-spread-grumble*
  • Memphis comes thiiiiiiisssss close to beating to number 1 Kansas in the late game yesterday.
  • LJ makes it official, signs with the Bengals. Sorry Cincy fans.
  • Knicks talking to Allen I – which makes me giddy, might I add. There’s no way that doesn’t turn into a train wreck.
  • Props to Brendan Shannahan, who retired after 21 seasons yesterday.
  • NHL Winners – Caps, Canadians, Sens, Predators, Avalanche. NBA Winners – Cavs, Thunder, Pacers, Hornets, Suns, Nuggets, Bulls, Lakers. College Hoops – Go Here, there’s a lot.

Go forth and prosper. Cheers.

If ESPN had done a 24 hour college football marathon, I would have watched from start to finish. And really, you would have only had one or two games out of normal time slots, since you could start a West coast game at midnight eastern, then a Hawaii game after that. Just need to find somebody to kick off at 6 AM and you’re set. Nobody would do it though, because nobody would want to risk losing one of their games due to a stupid TV stunt, while an early college BB game is pretty irrelevant.

There were a lot of good games. The Niagra/Drexel game was decent for a game that started at 8am. CS-Fullerton/UCLA was good and of course the two games last night. It’s funny though how teams like KU and MSU challenge themselves while Coach Crybaby doesn’t mind slaughter like the 11th best team in the A-10. Pathetic. Wait til March Duke, you’ll be at home crying before the 2nd weekend of the tourney.

  • The Duke hate is starting already – I love it!!
