unless you’re in the service industry (retail, emergency services, restaurants, etc), yeah it’s usually a day off.

if I had any alcohol, I’d pour one out for my brothers and sisters in those sectors. Been there, done my time.

I work for a retail corporation and internally we still refer to it as Black Friday.

To be fair, other stores have PCd the name up already.
Best Buy calls it Green Friday
Walmart calls it D.A.T.E. (Day After Thanksgiving Event)
Target had another name for it too, but I don’t recall what it was.
