Eye Opener 2/8/09
So, I’m assuming we all watched a little football match yesterday. That’s right, Arsenal lost again, turning Premiership into a two dog race between Chelsea and United. Meanwhile Liverpool moved into 4th after none of Spurs 32 shots went on in on Saturday against Villa.
As for the Super Bowl, I kinda felt bad for Peyton Manning, because we’re going to be subjected for three weeks of columns how he’s not that good, and he chokes. Reggie Wayne should have caught another touchdown, and I’ll give that the interception was bad, but come on, the receivers were not getting open and that pass to Clark was a thing of beauty.
Happy for the Saints and Breesus though, and shocking the city of New Orleans has survived so far. The birth rate should skyrocket in New Orleans 9 months from now with the combination of Mardi Gras and the Saints win. It’s like the Perfect Storm, minus the Boston accents.
