Yesterday I gave you Groups A-D. Today it’s E-H. You can consider this the ‘preview of death’ as most of this year’s World Cup favorites reside in these groups. Before we get started however I want to take another opportunity to pimp my World Cup Pick ‘em group. It’s located on www.fantasysports.yahoo.com . know We all know the World Cup starts in several days, and its quite safe to say I am obsessed. I’ve pretty much been reading any thing I can get my hands on, watching any game I can see, and playing an absurd amount of FIFA World Cup. Does that qualify me to write a World Cup preview, probably not, but you’re getting one anyway. Today you will get Groups A-D.

Most of you are aware of Deadspin commenter-extraordinaire Gourmet Spud. What some of you may not know is that Spud has his own blog called Food Court Lunch that he co-authors with three other fantastic writing talents: Butter Chicken, General Tao, and Blue Menu.

Quite simply, these guys are brilliant. I love them, as do their 11 countless number of fans. Why? For me, despite the fact my life is going downhill faster than Mark Mangino competing in a cheese-rolling race, every post these guys make still manages to crack me up. Not just one or two writers either, ALL OF THEM. In fact, the four biggest laughs I’ve had recently came from these guys.

Be it General Tao’s ability to be hilarious over a remarkably broad range of topics, Butter Chicken’s Everyman quality that has you chuckling with him and belly-laughing at him, Gourmet Spud’s boundless creativity that leaves you both in awe and in a near-paralyzing fit of bitter jealousy, or Blue Menu’s impeccable spelling*, Food Court Lunch brings the funny each and every day.
