HOUSE RULES
The Phoenix Pub reserves the right to refuse service
to anyone, at any time, for any reason.
Discussions: The Phoenix Pub is accorded neutral ground; all fans of all teams are welcome (but keep the bandwagon style bashing to an absolute minimum, please). We encourage you to discuss and debate sports, entertainment, politics, and whatever else might find its way into the pub. Dick jokes are highly encouraged, of course.
Disagreements: Commenters certainly may disagree with one another, but please keep it civil. Personal attacks on other commenters will not be tolerated. Razzing and Chops Busting is acceptable (and often encouraged), but please keep it friendly. Don’t make James (the Bouncer) have to get up off of his stool.
Stupidity: We’re all people, none of us perfect. We say and write stupid things. We all have biases. Some of us can’t spell (or are just lazy), and some of us never learned proper grammar and/or punctuation (or are just lazy). And all of us fuck up now and again. Feel free to let someone know when they’ve said something stupid. We’re all adults – we can handle it.
Anonymity: Yes, many of us know each other in real life. But when you’re at The Phoenix Pub, you are your commenter name. Any information about yourself that you choose to divulge is entirely up to you and you alone. However, you don’t have the right to reveal personal information about other commenters – those comments will be deleted, and you may be bounced.
Links and Video: If you’re going to post links, please remember to use the NSFW tag if it applies. No one needs to lose a job over a blog post. Let their manager find a valid reason on his/her own, please.
Deletions and Being Bounced: The Phoenix Pub reserves the right to delete any comment that is deemed unacceptable according to social norms. We want a welcoming, fun, friendly place to relax, have a drink, and bullshit about sports and life in general. If you ever have an issue with someone or something, email one of us or the Bouncer, and it will be attended.
